2013: A Year To Remember

Remembering a great year…

By Jeri Barry

It is hard to believe that we have ushered out 2013 and that 2014 is upon us! There is no doubt that this past year has flown by at Zuppas.  What a year it was! From a Green Bay Packer visit to a celebrity luncheon and book signing with the one and only Patricia Wells, we were certainly blessed with many wonderful opportunities. Looking back at my collection of photos from this past year it strikes me how fortunate Zuppas is to have the loyal customers, wonderful vendors and talented staff that we do. While this collection is by no means complete, here are some of the photos depicting events and moments that made this past year memorable. Cheers to a fabulous 2013 and what is sure to be an even better 2014!

We were fortunate to have the opportunity to cater a corporate centennial celebration held at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center in May.

The Green Bay Packers stopped by for lunch and were kind enough to visit with our staff!

One of several summer weddings catered by Zuppas in the conservatory at The Paine Art Center and Garden’s.

Peter prepared a four course luncheon which was served during Patricia Wells visit and signing of her newest book “The French Kitchen Cookbook” in October at The Paine Art Center and Gardens. Local blogger Dan Zehr attended the event and wrote a review of the day on his blog Platter Talk.

This year the Zuppas garden, located at the Community Garden Partnership in Neenah, was expanded and provided an abundant harvest.

The directors garden party at The Paine Art Center and Gardens was held on a beautiful evening in July. The entree consisted of Pan seared Chilean sea bass in a lemon grass green curry broth with grilled pork tenderloin and summer vegetables.

Our September wine dinner was a hit with wines supplied by certified wine educator Tim Long of Vino Veritas Artisan Wines. The Autumnal cuisine included courses consisting of  lobster pot pie with root vegetables, tarragon and celeriac and braised lamb with  squash, mint pesto and Swiss chard.

The Zuppas staff enjoyed summer weather, and a rare day off, on a sunny day in August aboard the Fin and Feather riverboat.

A good time was had by all at the Jazz in the Gardens event at the Paine Art Center and Gardens in September.  Alex, from our staff, helped serve guests.
